Original author’s interpretation summary

The Yin Wood Descendants line at position two occupies the host position and changes to Mao Wood, an advancing pair in this chapter. The author also notes that Shen month clashes with Yin Wood, creating month break, and distinguishes travel being possible from difficulty departing that month.

Outcome reported in the book

The text records departure only in Hai month, travel from Yan to Yue, return in the eighth month of the following year, and a safe round trip. Itinerary and outcome are author reports, not independently verified by the site.

Site review boundaries

  1. Old yin at line two changes Zhun to Jie, matching the text.
  2. The production algorithm detects second-line Yin-to-Mao advancement. The Shen–Yin clash is a separate relation between the month reference and original line.
  3. Departure month, travel safety and return date are not used for modern itinerary advice or safety predictions.

Reading boundaries

Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.

Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.

Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.

Advancing branches

Fixed branch-pair implementation

The site calculates the seven advancing branch changes explicitly listed in Zengshan Buyi and cross-checks them against examples in Bushi Zhengzong. Yilin Buyi also records forward changes such as Hai to Zi and Yin to Mao, but its terminology is not entirely identical.

A marker requires an actual changing line whose original and changed branches match a fixed pair. An advancing branch does not guarantee progress in an undertaking.

Six clashes

Fixed branch-pair implementation

The site separates clashes between individual line branches, clashes of month or day references with line branches, and the traditional six-clash hexagram classification. Six fixed branch pairs are calculable, but these different levels cannot be merged just because they share a name.

Six clash is a structural term, not an automatic statement of separation, failure or a change in illness.
