Original author’s interpretation summary

The author selects top-line Wei Earth Parents as Yongshen. It changes to Xu Earth, an advancing Wei-to-Xu pair in this chapter. Gui-You belongs to the Jia-Zi cycle, with Xu and Hai void; the text also invokes recent illness meeting void to explain the judgment.

Outcome reported in the book

The text says the author predicted relief the following day and reports recovery on Jia-Xu as the void ended. This reported illness outcome has no independent medical record for the site to verify.

Site review boundaries

  1. Old yin at the top line changes Cui to Pi, matching the text.
  2. The production line-change algorithm independently detects top-line Wei-to-Xu advancement. Cycle void separately checks Xu and Hai; the two are not merged into an automatic fortune judgment.
  3. This is historical text review only. Real illness requires qualified medical assessment; do not wait for a particular date based on a divination case.

Reading boundaries

Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.

Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.

Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.

Advancing branches

Fixed branch-pair implementation

The site calculates the seven advancing branch changes explicitly listed in Zengshan Buyi and cross-checks them against examples in Bushi Zhengzong. Yilin Buyi also records forward changes such as Hai to Zi and Yin to Mao, but its terminology is not entirely identical.

A marker requires an actual changing line whose original and changed branches match a fixed pair. An advancing branch does not guarantee progress in an undertaking.

Ten-day-cycle void

Structural implementation

The day’s ten-day cycle determines two void branches. Both works discuss further conditions involving phase strength, changing or unchanging lines, and clashes that fill the void. This site calculates only the day pillar’s cycle and void branches and lists the relevant line positions; it does not apply subsequent judgments such as being void yet not void.

Cycle void is a calendrical structure, not a statement that an undertaking is ineffective. It does not automatically determine outcomes or timing.
