Original author’s interpretation summary
The original chart has no Descendants line. The author takes fourth-line Wu Fire Descendants from the Zhen palace’s pure hexagram, hidden beneath fourth-line Chou Earth. Bing-Chen belongs to the Jia-Yin cycle, with Zi and Chou void; the text therefore describes the visible Chou Earth line as void.
Outcome reported in the book
The author predicts improvement on a Wu day, and the text reports that the child got out of bed that day. This is a historical medical-related author report, without medical records or other historical evidence for independent verification by the site.
Site review boundaries
- This is static Earth-over-Wind Sheng, matching the source pattern, with no changing lines and no resulting hexagram.
- The site can recalculate fourth-line Geng-Wu Fire Descendants hidden beneath visible Chou Earth and separately check Zi–Chou void for Bing-Chen.
- This case is only a structural review of a classical text. Any real childhood illness requires assessment by qualified medical professionals; a divination case must not delay care.
Reading boundaries
Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.
Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.
Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.
Ten-day-cycle void
Structural implementation
The day’s ten-day cycle determines two void branches. Both works discuss further conditions involving phase strength, changing or unchanging lines, and clashes that fill the void. This site calculates only the day pillar’s cycle and void branches and lists the relevant line positions; it does not apply subsequent judgments such as being void yet not void.
Cycle void is a calendrical structure, not a statement that an undertaking is ineffective. It does not automatically determine outcomes or timing.
