Original author’s interpretation summary
The author interprets the whole Li Fire hexagram changing to Kan Water as returning control by Water over Fire. Yet Fire is in season during Wu month, so current strength is distinguished from later loss of seasonal support. This is the author’s whole-hexagram phase judgment, not a medical disease-course model.
Outcome reported in the book
The text records death on Ding-Hai in the ninth month. Person, disease, year and medical history are absent; the site cannot independently verify this report.
Site review boundaries
- All six lines change. Recalculation changes Li to Kan, matching the text.
- Li Fire changing to Kan Water is whole-hexagram phase control, not the same calculation as a single changed line controlling its original line.
- The book’s death date is retained only for text review, not judgments about modern disease progression, lifespan or when to seek care.
Reading boundaries
Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.
Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.
Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.
Phase relations in hexagram changes
Historical text review
Generation and control through hexagram change in these cases mainly compare the phases of the lower and upper trigrams in the original and resulting hexagrams. This differs from the site’s returning relations for individual changing lines. Other source versions also discuss tomb, extinction, fanyin and fuyin under hexagram change.
The site does not yet generate whole-hexagram generation/control conclusions. Cases only cross-check the original and resulting hexagrams and the level used by the author.
Five-phase generation / control
Basic relation implementation
Five-phase generation and control underlie Najia Six Relations, returning generation/control, and Yuanshen/Jishen relationships. Cases may use several generation/control chains together with void, break, combinations and clashes. The site preserves each fact instead of reducing complex conditions to a score.
Basic generating and controlling relations are calculable. A historical author’s interpretation remains a separate layer, not a uniquely authoritative conclusion.
