Original author’s interpretation summary
Retrospectively, the author groups month Yin, day Shen and fifth-line Si Fire Descendants as the Yin–Si–Shen three punishments. The author admits seeing only this one case he regarded as confirmed in decades and says other punishment judgments mostly require additional weakening conditions. Reservations about the rule’s reliability are essential to this case.
Outcome reported in the book
The text records an initial judgment that the illness was treatable, followed by the child’s death on a Yin day at the Yin hour and a retrospective reconsideration of three punishments. This medical and death report lacks independent medical or historical verification.
Site review boundaries
- Old yin at line four and old yang at line five change Jiaren to Li, matching the text.
- Yin, Si and Shen are present across month, Yongshen line and day. The site records the book’s punishment convention only, without fortune judgments.
- The author explicitly reports very few cases involving three punishments alone. The site retains this limiting counterevidence and does not use the case for medical predictions.
Reading boundaries
Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.
Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.
Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.
Three punishments
Historical text review
Zengshan Buyi retains a 寅巳申 three-punishment case and reports that the author regarded only one instance in decades as confirmed. Yilin Buyi requires all three branches and also describes a different four-group punishment system. These texts do not support a single undisputed automatic determination.
The site tags author discussions of three punishments in classical cases only; it does not generate three-punishment conclusions in Najia charts.
Month and day branches
Calendrical structure implementation
The month reference uses the branch of the solar-term month; the day reference uses the day branch for the selected time-zone date. Zengshan Buyi and Yilin Buyi both use these references in subsequent discussions of strength, generation, control, clashes and combinations. The site calculates them with its calendar engine and cross-checks the month and day recorded in each case.
Month and day are chart references, not independent fortune judgments. A classical case without a year cannot identify a unique Gregorian date.
