Original author’s interpretation summary
The author takes top-line response-position Xu Earth in the Parents category as the teacher. Pi is classified as a six-harmony hexagram and Qian as a six-clash hexagram; harmony changing to clash is used to explain why the appointment would not last. The changed Zi Water is also noted as void in Jia-Yin’s cycle.
Outcome reported in the book
The text records that the child became ill and died shortly after the teacher left. This illness and death report cannot be independently verified by the site and is not a basis for modern medical or family decisions.
Site review boundaries
- Old-yin lines at positions one, two and three change Pi to Qian, matching the text.
- Pi as six harmony and Qian as six clash follow this chapter’s traditional whole-hexagram classification. This is not the same level as combinations or clashes of individual branches.
- Illness, death and timing correspondences are retained solely for source review, never for modern health predictions.
Reading boundaries
Reported outcomes represent the original author’s account, not independent historical verification. This case is not an automatic interpretation template for a user’s present result.
Topic tags identify structures involved in this case, not divinatory efficacy verified by the site.
Working translation of the site’s Chinese editorial case review, not a translation of the classical source. Native-language review is pending; original source names and locators remain in Chinese.
Six combinations
Fixed branch-pair implementation
The site calculates six fixed branch combinations and separates day combinations, combinations between line branches, and the traditional six-harmony hexagram classification. A case describing a six-harmony hexagram changing into a six-clash hexagram refers to whole-hexagram classification, not a replacement for individual branch relations.
No phase transformation is inferred. The name six harmony does not automatically determine relationships, marriage, transactions or other real-world outcomes.
Six clashes
Fixed branch-pair implementation
The site separates clashes between individual line branches, clashes of month or day references with line branches, and the traditional six-clash hexagram classification. Six fixed branch pairs are calculable, but these different levels cannot be merged just because they share a name.
Six clash is a structural term, not an automatic statement of separation, failure or a change in illness.
Ten-day-cycle void
Structural implementation
The day’s ten-day cycle determines two void branches. Both works discuss further conditions involving phase strength, changing or unchanging lines, and clashes that fill the void. This site calculates only the day pillar’s cycle and void branches and lists the relevant line positions; it does not apply subsequent judgments such as being void yet not void.
Cycle void is a calendrical structure, not a statement that an undertaking is ineffective. It does not automatically determine outcomes or timing.
